Charleston Palms is a work painted while visiting Kiawah Island, South Carolina, near Charleston. The landscape is considered “low country”, a flat expanse, filled with a dense under story of palmettos and sticky stuff. It was unkempt, wild and beautiful.

This painting was accepted into the Mid Atlantic Regional Watercolor Exhibition, 2004, an annual juried show sponsored by the Baltimore Watercolor Society, held at Strathmore Hall, Bethesda, Maryland.
